Homemade whipped cream is so easy to make and this pumpkin whipped cream really marks the beginning of fall. When we first started down the journey of homemade food and really working on our health, we started reading labels. The things that we could not pronounce in our sweet treats were the worst. The amount of sugar in a popular pumpkin spice latte is astounding. We had already learned that a strict elimination diet was going to be hard to follow, so we learned how to make healthier versions at home. This pumpkin whipped cream was created to satisfy that craving of a pumpkin coffee from the local coffee shop. We used it to create our Salted Caramel Pumpkin Iced Coffee.

Whipped cream can really made to meet many flavor cravings and used in many ways in the kitchen. You few that you can easily make are peppermint whipped cream, apple pie spice whipped cream, lemon whipped cream and just a good old fashioned vanilla whipped cream.

Sourcing Bulk Ingredients

Most of my ingredients I try to source in bulk. I do enough cooking and baking from scratch that it is more cost effective for me to purchase in bulk. If you are interested in building your pantry on a budget, I highly suggest checking out Azure Standard. I can order from them once a month if I want to, which I don’t need to do that, and meet a semi truck at a specific drop location. Everyone purchasing helps unload all the product for that drop and then we take our goods and head home. I have saved so much money this way. For example the items I have in bulk for this recipe are: powdered sugar and pumpkin pie spice both of which I get from Azure Standard. The vanilla extract I also have on hand in bulk quantities because I make my own. If you would like to learn more about that process then you can check out this YouTube video.

If you have not started to purchase in bulk I highly suggest taking the time to do a price comparison, especially on spices and flours, before jumping into your holiday baking. Now let’s get to the recipe…
